Coconut the donkey trots into school every day, much to the children's delight and Mr Clapper the teacher's dismay. Berlie Doherty's warm, funny story - beautifully illustrated by Ivan Bates - is a lovely read for animal-loving young readers, with a gentle lesson about second chances tucked in at the end.
